Saint Lucia Tourism Authority Announces New Connectivity With St. Kitts Via Sunrise Airways

(SLTA)- The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) is thrilled to announce the commencement of a same-day service between St. Kitts and Saint Lucia via Sunrise Airways, starting on July 8, 2024. This new connectivity is poised to enhance travel options and strengthen ties between the two islands.

The announcement was made in St. Kitts during a collaborative marketing initiative between the SLTA and Sunrise Airways, held from June 27-30, 2024. The joint efforts included brand and destination promotion at the St. Kitts Music Festival, extensive media campaigns, and engagements with the diaspora community.

The service will depart from Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport (SKB) to George F.L. Charles Airport between July 8-14, operating on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Starting July 15, the service will run daily, with a brief 20-minute stopover in Antigua to ensure a seamless and efficient journey for travelers.

"We are excited about this new flight route, which not only provides a convenient travel option for passengers but also opens up new opportunities for cultural and economic exchanges between our islands," said Hon. Dr. Ernest Hilaire, Minister of Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information.

"Our partnership with Sunrise Airways and our marketing initiatives in St. Kitts highlight our commitment to fostering stronger regional connections and promoting Saint Lucia as a premier travel destination. This service also enhances our collaboration with key regional institutions like the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) and the OECS Commission, strengthening our ties within the Eastern Caribbean."

This enhanced connectivity is expected to boost tourism and facilitate easier access for both business and leisure travelers, further solidifying Saint Lucia's position as a key destination in the Caribbean.

The SLTA and Sunrise Airways look forward to welcoming passengers on this new route and sharing the unique and diverse experiences that Saint Lucia has to offer.

Team Member Spotlight- Narisa Auguiste

Meet Ms. Narisa Auguiste. This fun and cheerful young lady has been a part of the Bay Gardens family for a little over 13 months. Her vibrancy has afforded her the opportunity to work with the teams at both the Bay Gardens Beach Resort & Spa and the Bay Gardens Marina Haven, where she is currently stationed as a waitress.

Narisa describes her time at Bay Gardens Resorts so far as an enjoyable experience, where she feels comfortable and is passionate about showing up to work. Her teammates describe her as a joy to work with, as she is always willing to help and goes above the call of duty.

Narisa explains her most memorable moment at Bay Gardens Resorts was during a sad period in her life, when she mourned the passing of her father. She explains that she is grateful for how much support and encouragement she felt from her teammates and management. 

In her free time, Narisa enjoys cooking new recipes she learns on YouTube, with her two sons. She noted that the bond she and her sons built from these cooking experiences are amazing. 

When asked what her inspiration was, she mentioned, “I do everything for my sons, and they give me the motivation I need to keep going.” She further went on to say, “every morning when I wake up, I thank the heavenly father for life. My motto is, if I can dream it, I can do it”.

While she continues to work diligently and develops herself, Narisa is excited about her future with Bay Gardens Resorts and mentions that soon she would like to see herself advance into a supervisory or managerial role.

FarmHers Market back this Saturday!

The Helen’s Daughters FarmHers Market is back, this time in Rodney Bay on Saturday, July 13th from 8 am to 2 pm. 

Unfortunately, we've had to cancel our market scheduled for July 6th at Pointe Seraphine. Some of our FarmHers were impacted by Hurricane Beryl and need some time to assess and bounce back.

However, the best way to support your local FarmHers during times like this is by purchasing their produce! See you on July 13th!
