Two Caregivers Charged, Help Us Find Them

From the desk of Hamilton County Prosecuting Attorney Melissa Powers

Dear neighbors,

Some of the worst scams and crimes committed against seniors happen while they're in the care of those charged to protect them.

One recent case has kept me up at night.

Earlier this month, a Hamilton County grand jury indicted two caregivers in the death of a 60-year-old man with special needs.

Back in October 2023, EMS personnel and police found Daniel Jenkins dead in his group home. Now the two people responsible for taking care of Jenkins are facing serious charges.

Mgbenta Djomgoa, 50, of West Chester Township, faces one count of patient abuse and one count of failing to provide for a functionally impaired person.

Diana Bediako, 27, of Cincinnati, faces a charge of failing to provide for a functionally impaired person, and gross patient abuse or neglect.

If you know were Djomgoa and Bediako are right now, please call police.

And if you or someone you love needs help, don’t hesitate to call 513-946-SCAM. My office is ready to offer any help we can.

Always fighting for you,

Melissa Powers
