Say Hello to Meals on Wheels Diablo Region
On April 2, we officially changed our name from Meals on Wheels and Senior Outreach Services (MOWSOS) to Meals on Wheels Diablo Region (MOWDR). The rebrand of MOWDR coincides with our 50th Anniversary Gala and was launched with a new look, press release, website and our vision for Contra Costa County seniors for the next 50 years. #MarchforMeals Amplified!
Every year, MOWDR takes part in the national March for Meals campaign to bring attention to senior hunger and isolation.This year we hosted Community Champions Week ride-alongs throughout Contra Costa County and an Intergenerational March in Todos Santos Plaza in Concord. Birthday Buddies: Sandra + Carissa
We sat down with Sandra and Carissa, client and volunteer from our Friendly Visitors program earlier this month (on Sandra's birthday!) and interviewed them about what they enjoyed most about this program and each other.
