Hello dear friends and clients,
We had a long and absolutely gorgeous fall and the chill of winter is setting in gently with just a touch of snow, so far! As we look back on the real estate sales, they have been quite remarkable. There were 62 transactions this year just on Flathead Lake alone! Being on the water costs a premium
(click here for waterfront and non-waterfront sales analysis). However, there are so many beautiful and amazing non waterfront properties that offer peace, privacy and awe inspiring views. I have plenty of both to show you!
The holidays hold delightful activities in Bigfork and across the valley. With the village all decorated and the arrival of Santa, it looks to be a joyous season. Many of our eating establishments stay open all winter with events ranging from Bingo to Brushes and Brews to live music. Have an evening out in the area. It's a ball!
If
you are thinking of listing your property, or buying a property in Montana, my experience, record and expertise will successfully guide you through the negotiation process toward the right price. Call, text or email me. We'll have dinner (
I have an in with the local sushi place)!
Denise
PS.
My heart goes out to our California friends who are grappling with devastating forest fires and loss of property. Let's hope that the missing are found and no more lives are lost. 73 of Montana's firefighters will spend Thanksgiving fighting the California fires. Stay safe.

estimonial:
"My wife and I have enjoyed 15 wonderful summers in Bigfork and when we built our new lake house we knew we needed to sell our existing property that we were also very proud of. It was a special place with many upgrades over our 15 years and we knew it would require a special Realtor who took the extra effort. Denise Lang was that Realtor. She knew exactly what was needed in every area, photography, staging, marketing, pricing and local knowledge. Our MLS listing was stunning and everyone of her suggestions and staff were spot on. We knew we had found a true professional and a wonderful person as well. We cannot say enough about Denise and we will spread the news of one of Bigfork's best treasures."
Richard and Sharon
"Thank you Richard and Sharon, I am humbled by your words."

What it's about...
My obsession with historical fiction continues...Here is the odyssey of a 10 year old boy named Henry as he navigates his way through the war of 1812. Set in and around Washington DC, Baltimore and Alexandria, Virginia, the author weaves historical war facts with his fictional characters who are just trying to survive during and after the battles.
Henry's mother is killed and his older brother has been reportedly executed by a firing squad for deserting the American army while his father is in debtor's prison. Henry, determined to fulfill his mother's wish to be buried in Chesapeake Bay, loads her up in a barrel of pickling brine. He puts the whole thing on a small cart and heads to Baltimore.
On his journey, Henry meets several interesting characters...an English deserter looking for loot in abandoned homes, runaway slaves and the owner of the local plantation who wants the missing coins stolen from his home and feels that Henry knows their location.
The pace of the story is brisk, with new characters and new problems for Henry. As the story continues, we realize that Henry loses understanding of right and wrong. And in a state of war, that is pretty close to reality...no wrong or right, only survival.
I think you will love this book, particularly if you like war fiction and know the area where it takes place.
