Good Monday Evening!
I hope you had a beautiful Mother’s Day surrounded by the vibrant colors of spring. The blooming of peonies has added an extra touch of joy to my Mother's Day celebration. Their large red and pink flowers are a wonderful sight during spring. It’s amazing how nature has its way of celebrating special occasions with us. I hope the beauty of spring continues to bring you joy as it does for me. For more information about peonies, click on the picture.
Thank you to Marylin and Glen Buzzell, Max Dunavan, Dan Pauls, and Susan Miller for helping with the Topeka Area Continuity of Care (TACC) Senior Resource Fair on Thursday, May 2! This fair is a great opportunity for the Shepherd's Center to reach out to our community and let seniors know who we are and the opportunities we provide for life-long learning, socialization, and exercise.
Maggie Durino and Marilyn Brock have volunteered for the Planning Committee! We appreciate their time and dedication to helping bring great speakers to Adventures in Learning. If you have ideas for presentations for Adventures in Learning, let us know and we will contact the speaker for future presentations at AiL.
We are still taking applications for our next director. I would appreciate your prayers and help sharing about the position.
Activity Group
No Pickleball on Monday, May 27. First Baptist Church will be closed for Memorial Day.
I'm sorry for the late email today due to internet issues.
Have a blessed week!
