Monday News and Updates

May 6, 2024

Good Monday Afternoon!

I hope you're having a good Monday afternoon. I'm writing from Arizona, where Delaine and I drove to attend our nephew's wedding. On our way to Camp Verde, we stopped in New Mexico and had delicious Mexican food, one of our favorite cuisines. Today, we're on our way back home and looking forward to being back.

I wanted to share a photo of the Chapel of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Sedona, Arizona. It's a wonderful sight to see this structure that is built into the side of the mountain. Sedona is known for its beautiful mountains, hiking trails, shopping, and spiritual influences. Some popular places in Sedona include Bell Rock, Devil's Bridge Trail, Oak Creek Canyon, and Slide Rock. If you want to see Sedona through their Earth Cam, click on this link https://sedonawebcam.com/.

The history of Sedona is very interesting. The founder, TC Schnebly, moved from Missouri (other articles say Kansas) to Sedona, and the story behind the name of the town is quite surprising. If you want to know more about Sedona, Arizona, and its origin, click on the link https://sedonamuseum.org/historyofsedona/.
