Good Monday Afternoon!


It's that wonderful time of year when, this week, many celebrate Good Friday and Easter. Wishing you a weekend filled with peace, joy, and blessings, whether you observe these days traditionally or in your own special way.


Activity Group Updates

Please check with your Activity Group coordinator for information about cancelations due to holidays or other congregation activities.


Thank you to Linda Clements at Arbor Court, 4200 SW Drury Lane, Topeka (Enter off of 15th Street), for graciously hosting our Widowed Support Group meetings on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 3:30 - 5:00 pm. Their location provides an ideal setting for our group gatherings. We will meet in their spacious basement meeting area, which has elevator access. Please park in Lowman's parking lot. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call me.


Sponsoring Congregations


Lowman United Methodist Church's Annual Basket Auction fundraiser is back! If you would like to donate a basket to be auctioned at the April 21st Baked Potato Bar/Luncheon ($5 suggested donation), please submit your basket by Thursday, March 28. Funds will support their youth camps, day trips, and other youth activities.

Topeka Shawnee County Library Book and Media Sale, Saturday, April 13, 9 - 3:00 pm. Located in Marvin Auditorium 101ABC. If you are a Friends Member of the library, you can attend on Friday, April 12, 5 pm - 8:00 pm. Memberships are available at the door. Individual memberships are $20, and Family starts at $30. City Hall's Topeka and Shawnee County (TSC) Get Digital Program still has 300 free desktop computers to give to those who are 60+ and have lower incomes. Their program ends on May 31, and they are trying to reach as many people as possible. If you or you know someone who can benefit from this program, click on the following link to see if you qualify. This Easter, Sight and Sound Theatre is offering a free three-day streaming of JESUS on March 29th – 31st. This is filmed in front of a live audience and is a state-of-the-art theatrical production. Throughout Easter weekend, they invite you to gather with friends and family to watch some of the most inspiring, miraculous events in the gospels as the story of Jesus’ life unfolds on your screen. Pickleball - Monday and Wednesday from 1 – 3:00 at First Baptist, 3033 SW MacVicar Ave, Topeka.
