Healthy Aging Sandbox Challenge

Join the Massachusetts eHealth Institute for the Healthy Aging Sandbox Challenge Final Pitch Event on June 28th. Eight digital health companies that are addressing the health of older adults will pitch for the chance to win one of four $50,000 awards which allow them to test their solutions with a cutting-edge R&D center in the Massachusetts Digital Health Sandbox Network.
This event will bring together startups, accelerators, investors, researchers, and other key stakeholders to network in person and showcase the strength and opportunity of the Commonwealth’s digital health network.

Funds Available to Hire Summer Interns
Massachusetts Tech Firms Eligible for State Stipends this Summer
| |
Since 2013, the MassTech’s Intern Partnership Program, has provided over $3.5 million in state stipends to support 1200-plus summer interns at nearly 400 tech firms across the state.
Applications are now open for 2023 and eligible Massachusetts companies can be reimbursed for up to 50% of the intern's hourly wage, for a maximum of $3,200 for the year.
Companies in digital health, cybersecurity, fintech, quantum technology, and robotics can apply for stipends to pay up to three eligible interns this year. Other eligible tech companies can apply for up to two interns.
The program enables growing companies to hire Massachusetts students, helping drive innovation and keeping our tech sector dynamic, vibrant, and growing.
In order to participate, companies must:
- Be headquartered in Massachusetts;
- Have 250 or fewer employees;

Hire a talented eligible intern this summer; and
-
Pay the intern as a W-2 employee with required payroll withholdings.

Boston Scientific Connected Patient Challenge | |
The seventh annual Connected Patient Challenge is a global contest designed to address unmet healthcare needs by encouraging companies and individuals to leverage digital health tools to optimize patient care and healthcare efficiency.
On Thursday, June 15th, five startups developing novel solutions in digital health and peripheral vascular disease will pitch their technology “Shark Tank” style to a panel of judges. Awards include $15,000 in in-kind services from Boston Scientific, a $10,000 cash award from the Massachusetts eHealth Institute (MeHI) under its MassDigitalHealth Initiative, and a spot in the M2D2 IMPACT Accelerator Program.
