Let's Continue to Stay Active Together. Join Special Olympics Athletes in a Virtual Walk Around the World!
#WalkTheWorldSO

In this time of physical distancing, athletes, volunteers and supporters across Canada have come together to walk over 15,000 KM in the Coast to Coast Canada Walking Challenge. It was an incredible accomplishment, and they are ready to keep going!

Athletes invite you to join in on the Walk The World With Me virtual walking program where we will walk through Canada once more before reaching the United States and rest of the world!

How do you get started? Walk inside or out, continuing to practice safe physical distancing and record your time you spend walking, daily (in minutes). Then, visit the website to record your time.
How can you record your time?

One time entry - visit this page to submit your daily walking time.

You can also create your own personal page where you can set a walking goal, log in daily to submit your daily walking time and share your personal page with your friends and family to cheer you on!

Do you have family and friends that you want to stay virtually active with? Why not start a team page!

Be sure to take a photo of your walking adventures and post to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and use #WalkTheWorldSO
Special Olympics has partnered with Canadian Disability Participation Project to launch the Get in Motion program.

Get in Motion connects Canadians with a physical and/or intellectual disability with a Physical Activity Coach who would help provide support to start or maintain an at-home physical activity program.

Thank you to students from Queens University who will be connecting with athletes that opt into this program.
