Annual Celebration of Children's Health Luncheon

More than 200 community leaders, elected officials, and health care advocates gathered on November 6, 2017 for Rhode Island KIDS COUNT's seventeenth annual Celebration of Children's Health Luncheon to reflect on the progress that Rhode Island has made in achieving positive health outcomes for children - including the fact that Rhode Island is now ranked third best in the nation for children's health coverage. In 2016, 98.1% of Rhode Island children under age 18 had health coverage!

Policy Analyst Opening at Rhode Island KIDS COUNT

Rhode Island KIDS COUNT thanks Jim Beasley for more than 5 years of outstanding service as Policy Analyst on health issues. Jim will be leaving to become Assistant Health Program Administrator at the Rhode Island Department of Health Oral Health Program.

Barbara Morse Silva recently featured TeethFirst! on her Health Check Kids segment. Rhode Island KIDS COUNT Executive Director Elizabeth Burke Bryant and Communications Manager Katy Chu are featured, discussing the importance of early dental visits, TeethFirst! materials, and Rhode Island KIDS COUNT's outreach and advocacy for children's dental health.
