Private Well Bill has hearing at State House

Last week a bill WMPHA has been following, An Act Promoting Drinking Water Quality for All (bill numbers S.482 and H.902), had a hearing before the Joint Committee on Environment and Natural Resources. The bill aims to provide protections for households who rely on private wells for their drinking water, and would enable the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) to develop a set of health-based regulations which would provide statewide water quality standards for private drinking water wells.

For more information on the bill or to get involved in the campaign, visit: https://www.whatsinyourwellwater.org/an-act-promoting-drinking-water-quality-for-all/

To see the hearing on the bill, visit https://malegislature.gov/Events/Hearings/Detail/4703 and scroll forward to approximately 1:40 in the recording.
