Hey there Lake Forest Family,

I hope that you're enjoying the warmer weather as this week comes to an end. This quick note is to give you a heads up for you and your family as you make plans to join us at church this Sunday.

This Sunday, April 28, we will continue in our Living in the Middle series where we are walking through the book of 1 Thessalonians. (If you've missed a week, you can catch up any time here.) Chapter 4, which is where we'll be for the sermon this Sunday, deals with the topic of sex. It's not lost on me that this is an area where many have felt shame or judgement, and I want to assure you - just as with any topic we discuss at our church, this will be handled with respect and care.

To be clear, this week's sermon will address the topics of sex, sexual immorality, and pornography. Parents, we invite you to use your discretion in how you include your children in worship. Our Kidventure program will be operational for both services as usual for kids birth - 5th grade.

In preparation for this week's service, our team discussed the current statistics on youth and their exposure to sexual content, especially on the internet. We've worked together to compile some resources for parents, and they are listed below.

Grace and Peace,

Aron Gibson
