Dear Evansville Day School Community,

The Search Committee would like to extend the opportunity to participate in the Head of School search process to the entire extended EDS community through a community survey. We hope you will all participate in the survey, which can be accessed at this link. Please complete the survey by Tuesday, October 3 at 6:00 pm. 

Additionally, we have scheduled an opportunity for you to meet with our search consultants. An alumni and past board member luncheon will be held at EDS next Tuesday, October 3rd from 12:00-1:00 pm in the Alumni Room. If you are able to attend, please contact Amanda Bultemeier so we can have an accurate headcount for lunch. 

The purpose of the meeting is to hear your thoughts on what we seek in our next leader, and answer any questions you may have regarding the search. In preparation for the meeting, we ask that you give some thought to the following questions:

• What is the culture of our school? What makes EDS a special community?
• What are the perceived challenges and opportunities for the next Head of School?
• Where do we, as a school, want to focus our program for the next 5+ years?
• What experience/leadership styles/personality traits will best meet those needs within our culture?

We will periodically post updates on the Head of School Search webpage on the EDS website. Please check this page for messages from current Head of School Kevin Kunst and myself, a list of Search Committee members, and forthcoming updates about the search, including additional opportunities for participation in the search process.
