Principal's Message

Dear Hutton Elementary Families,

What an awesome Spring Fling we had! On behalf of the entire school, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the families who volunteered their time and resources, and to everyone who attended. The event was a resounding success, and it would not have been possible without your generous support and participation.

We are also thrilled to share the success of our Girls on the Run program. This initiative has been tremendously successful in empowering our young girls, fostering a sense of achievement and camaraderie. As the season draws to a close, we invite you to join us in cheering them on at their final race on Saturday, June 1st at Riverside Memorial Park at 9 am. Let's rally together to support our amazing and strong girls!

Lastly, we are off to an incredible start with our Hawk Walk fundraiser. The enthusiasm and motivation from our students have been truly inspiring. Let's keep those donations coming and continue to support the many wonderful opportunities that these funds make possible for our kiddos.

Thank you for being such an integral part of our school community. Your involvement is what makes Hutton Elementary a wonderful place to learn and grow.

Warm regards,

LaTonya Simmons

Principal

Hutton Happenings

Girls on the Run has been hard at work learning to embrace their inner strength and make meaningful connections with others. This program support girls when they need it most. Thank you to Mrs. Day, Mrs. Heaton and parent volunteers for making this program successful at Hutton.

They would love to have your support on Saturday, June 1st at 9 AM for their 5K at Riverside Memorial Park! Please come cheer them on and welcome them to the finish line of a great achievement.

5th Grade Leadership Recess Clubs

Over the last month, our 5th graders have been sacrificing their own recess by leading other interested students in certain activities (see club descriptions below). Michael, Aiden and Malcom are having a blast with 3rd graders in Coding Club!

5th Grade Toy Expo Museum was on Friday, 5/24. Toys are inducted into the Toy Hall of Fame based on if they have withstood the test of time, foster creativity, discovery and play, and if they are innovative and inspiring. 5th grader, Ray Gilman, likes the Koosh Ball because it's "unlike any other ball that has been invented."

Spring Fling 2024 was super fun! It's always great to welcome spring with a Cake Contest, inflatables and popcorn. Thank you, Hutton Community and Hutton PTG for supporting and organizing this fun event.

College Wear Thursday

It's an exciting initiative to foster a college-going culture within our community! Wearing college gear not only shows pride in one's alma mater but also encourages conversations about education, career aspirations, and the value of lifelong learning. Wear your college gear on every Thursday.
