Have You Made Your Reservation?
People often ask me what I miss most about no longer being in the Tennessee General Assembly as a State Representative where I served the people of my District for 8 years.

Without hesitation, I say, "My Assistant!"

Having a very capable Christian sister in my office with me daily who made calls, travel arrangements and reservations for me was a blessing that I have only come to truly appreciate since I am no longer in office. I miss her help!

I still travel a lot and feel like I am constantly making reservations. There are flight reservations, hotel reservations, parking spot reservations, car rental reservations, even reservations for a seat at a meeting! In so many instances, a person needs a reservation. There have also been several times when I didn't have a reservation made and have been turned away.

We also need a very important reservation as sisters in Christ. We need a reservation to live forever in Our Father's kingdom. And NO ONE, not even the most efficient assistant, can make our reservation for us!

The Apostle Peter reminds us "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you . . ."

What a joy it is to know that we can have a reservation in heaven, for eternity! However, it is a reservation that we have to make ourselves, for ourselves. No one can make it for us!

In this New Year, let's make absolutely sure our reservation in heaven is made and live joyfully in every situation knowing that. This world is not our home. We can have a mansion reserved in a place where there will be no tears, forever!

How do we sure our reservation is made for that prepared place?

James 1:22 tells us to be "DOERSs of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." Matthew 7:21 says "Not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who DOES the will of my Father who is in heaven."

God gave us the instructions for making our own reservation in heaven. He also asked us to share that information with others. In the middle of our hectic, often uncertain lives, let's love Our Savior first, love God's Word, live God's Word and make sure our reservation is made in heaven for eternity!

Love in Christ, ❤️

Sheila

What's Happening with our Devotional Book?

When we decided to publish a Sisters, Servants, Soldiers Devotional Book, we didn't realize the time it would take to receive 365 devotionals.

Right now we have 110 daily devotionals. We have 1364 ladies on this mailing list and we could use help from many more of you! Please keep sending your devotionals. Originally, we asked for no more than 5, but those who really like to write are welcome to send more. Let's do this!

We are thinking now about publishing some of the devotionals in this Newsletter until we have enough to complete a yearly book.

Let us know if you think that is a good idea! Thanks, Sheila

We had a Great Christmas Reunion for "Daughters of The King" in December!

It was great to have a December "Christmas"reunion and modified workshop for the young ladies who participated in the "Daughters of The King" Leadership Workshop last summer! Fifteen of the twenty girls were able to attend at the Graymere Lodge in Columbia for the reunion and it was a wonderful, fun event filled with fellowship, prayer and Bible study!

Please consider nominating a young lady or two that you might like to send to the workshop in July.

The Dates for THIS YEAR'S WORKSHOP are
July 18-22, 2021.

Here is a great resource for the times!

Study after study verifies that more and more people are claiming to be atheists. This video helps us understand the moral implications of that choice. I hope you will listen and share.
I hope we will be more diligent in demonstrating, talking about and teaching the love of Christ and the Word of God to the people of the world.

We do live in a "sinful and perverse" generation. Thankfully, this world is not our home. For the most part, Satan controls the hearts of the majority of men.

One of the founding fathers of our Country, John Adams, warned us that "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

Could it be that our Constitution and our Nation will one day be obliterated because of immorality?

Sisters, every single one of us needs to be standing firm in our faith. The world may be uncertain and things may be changing at warp speed, but each of us needs to continue shining the light of Christ in all of the areas that God has given us influence! God does not change. Truth does not change.
And judgment will come!

Mothers, you are the first line of defense against Satan in your home. I believe that many women have been so busy trying to give their children everything, that they have left very little time to give them Biblical instruction and a model of faith in their lives. If nothing else, this pandemic has made us slow down. That should be a blessing for so many of our homes!

Instead of new tennis shoes, how about a half hour a day of one-on-one personal Bible time with our children? What a much greater and permanent gift that would be!
We have speaking dates available for 2021-2022!

Please contact us and we will be happy to help you find a wonderful Speaker
for your Ladies' Day, Lectureship or Retreat!
