In November 2020, in the midst of some of the most devastating times of the global Covid pandemic, then 61-year-old Ronnie Dunetz, a CSL in training and a doctoral student of Wisdom Studies asked himself the question: What does it mean to harvest and cultivate one's wisdom in later life?

The question prompted him to create an ongoing innovative workshop structure in which group participants could come together to explore, reflect upon, share, "think together" and gain a sense of clarity and accountability about many questions, topics, and challenges in their lives. Thus, "Harvesting Your Wisdom" workshops were born, and since then, a small, international group has engaged online in more than 120 such sessions, with a pipeline full of programs awaiting them!

According to Ronnie, it is our natural curiosity, power of reflection, and desire to make meaning in our lives that drives the group into exploring deeply the many questions of what it means to cultivate one's wisdom in life: "Wisdom of later life is always a 'work in progress'." We thrive as we apply our huge silos of life experience to fresh questions, group support, and a passionate and honest desire to learn more about what it means to be awake and open to life itself."

Dr. Dunetz will be offering the Harvesting Your Wisdom workshops via Sage-ing International for the first time in July, space is limited so sign up early.

Facilitator

Ronnie Dunetz, PhD, CSL was raised in the US and in his early life, Ronnie lived in Japan and Taiwan where he studied Eastern spiritual traditions. For the last 30 years, he has lived in Israel.

At age 64, Ronnie received his Doctorate of Philosophy in Wisdom Studies with his dissertation on Reflections of children of Holocaust survivors in their second half of life on their life experience. For Ronnie it was the culmination of years of exploration in his life, informed by the story of his father, Mordechai Dunetz, a Holocaust survivor. Ronnie has been a senior-level life and career coach, workshop facilitator, and trained storyteller for over 20 years.

Recently Ronnie has been trained in "logotherapy," (meaning-based therapy), developed by Dr. Viktor Frankl, psychiatrist, Holocaust survivor, and author of Man's Search for Meaning. Ronnie remembers what his father taught: "Life is precious, we must do the best with it."
