Transforming Recruitment Efficiency at ACC
Riverbat Faculty and Staff,
| In a move to revolutionize our recruit-to-hire (R2H) process, HR Managing Director Elma Benavides and I have launched the R2H Optimization Strike Team. This strategic initiative aims to cut down the average time it takes the College to hire all the unique types of positions we employ to a maximum of 30 days by 2026. There will be significant improvements along the way, ensuring swift and efficient staffing that supports our institution's mission and growth. |
The Teams Behind the Change
Co-led by Elma and me, the Strike Team has three Focus Groups comprised of cross-functional HR staff led by three of our savviest customer-facing professionals. HR Business Partners will act as sponsors to respective Focus Groups and their leads and will be instrumental in deployment and communication throughout the process.
READ MORE to find out what each of the groups will be doing to improve the R2H process.

In preparing for PEP, I pulled up my job description in Workday, and found it needs updating. Can I do that before my evaluation?
Requests and issues related to job profiles should be shared with HR by submitting a Mojo ticket or email to hrsupport@austincc.edu. While changes will not be made in advance of PEP, we are logging issues and requests with the intent of addressing them during our upcoming Compensation & Classification study, led by Guidehouse consultants. In cases where it may not be sufficient to refer to the "Skills" area or other duties assigned by the supervisor, HR is here to consult and we can be reached through Mojo or hrsupport@austincc.edu. |

Apply Now!
Time is running out to apply for the FY25 Supervisor Certificate Program (SCP).
The deadline to apply for the Supervisor Certificate Program is Friday, July 26, at 5 p.m.
This is a great way for non-faculty ACC employees who have supervisory potential but limited (less than one year) supervisor experience to expand their professional opportunities. Through the program, participants gain insight into their personal leadership style, learn and apply necessary leadership/management philosophies and principles, and collect supervisory skills and information specific to ACC.

ACC is for Everyone ... and ACC is Everywhere!
Business Partners Aly Wang and Donald Jackson recently met two proud ACC grads working in the community. Aly was taking a cooking class where the chef introduced himself as an ACC grad. Later, He told Aly that while other culinary program try to weed out students, ACC genuinely wants students to succeed.
And when Donald walked into a new Nothing Bundt Cakes store in Bee Cave, not only did he discover he was the store's very first customer, he learned that the employee in the pink shirt is a happy ACC grad.
We love to see our students putting their ACC education to work in the community!
