As we head into a new school year, we want to ensure you feel fully supported by Human Resources. We have three new Business Partners poised to do just that.


Earlier this summer we embarked on a whirlwind tour of all ACC campuses and met so many amazing people who inspire their staffs, nurture their students, and keep ACC humming. We took lots of pictures, and we invite you to view the whole gallery on Flickr!

Fall Classes Start Soon... Sign up for Free Tuition Vouchers Now!


As of this morning, 165 child dependents of ACC employees have signed up for free tuition at ACC.


If you are staff, faculty, or adjunct faculty and have dependents under the age of 26 interested in advancing their education, here's what you need to do:

  • Submit this form so we can verify your eligibility. (Employee must have six months' service at ACC)
  • Go ahead and register for classes, if you want to start in Fall '24
  • Attend the virtual information session (link below) or view the recording here.

Charlene Buckley

Director, Office of Equal Opportunity Compliance


Compassion is the cornerstone of the work done every day in ACC's Office of Equal Opportunity Compliance. The team's director, Charlene Buckley, is the one who not only keeps ACC law-abiding, but also makes staff, faculty and students feel valued and heard and protected.


Charlene’s team of eight supports employees and students in resolving and preventing discrimination and harassment. “Our team is small but mighty as we assist individuals during some of their most challenging times,” Charlene said. 


Since Charlene joined ACC in 2017, the work of the office has expanded to include managing the employee grievance process, facilitating compliance with the Clery Act, and coordinating the college’s efforts to meet standards under the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act.

Can an employee hold two jobs at ACC?


It depends. ACC values the talents of its faculty and staff and appreciates that many employees have the expertise and the desire to contribute to the College in multiple ways. But dual employment is allowed only for certain employees.


Exempt employees -- those who are paid a salary and are exempt from overtime pay -- may hold two positions, with one being a benefits-eligible primary position and the other an adjunct faculty or hourly instructor position. The secondary position cannot interfere with the employee's schedule or performance in their primary position.


Non-exempt employees -- those who are eligible for overtime pay but not benefits -- may not hold a second position.


Adjunct faculty who do not hold a benefits-eligible position may hold hourly assignments.
