Got Lights?
What's the holiday season without a variety of light shows, lightings and more? From drive-throughs to walk-throughs and community tree and menorah lightings, there's plenty to see. We've also included a list of music and theater offerings.
LICM4all
Learn about LICM4all, the Long Island Children's Museum's initiative to serve visitors with disabilities, including their Friendly Hours and Sensory Room.
Holidays for Children with Sensory Needs
Many elements of the holiday season—music, crowds, light— can be especially difficult for children with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). SPD may affect a single sense, such as taste, touch or hearing, or it may affect multiple senses. What this does mean is that some fundamental aspects of this season can be very frustrating for some children. We are sharing a blog post covering this topic, with suggestions for navigating this time of year.
What are YOU reading?
Our list of recommended books continues with a theme of holidays:

December is...
Bingo Month, National Fruitcake Month and Write a Friend Month. So play a few games, bake a cake and pen a letter telling your BFF all about it. Enjoy.
