Volume 24 | FEBRUARY 2023

Greetings!

Time goes by so fast when one loves what we do and loves where we live... I'm lucky to be able to check off both!

The only complaint about January was too much rain after the snow of December... I would take Peanut out for his morning walk and he keeps trying to turn around to go home! I guess it's too wet and cold for Peanut too.

A beautiful rare day in January near the Cleveland Dam with a clear view of the "Lions"
I'm so happy to celebrate our birthdays together ... both Peanut and I are January babies!

Amethyst – Although Amethyst is a fairly common gemstone, it has long been associated
with luxury. This beautiful purple-hued quartz is meditative, calming and promotes
spiritual growth and enlightenment.

Perfect for fostering love and romance, bring Amethyst into the life of that
special someone to enhance their inner peace and calm.

Amethyst Inukshuk Necklace

A stone formation traditionally
built by the Inuit, postulated to have been used historically for navigation.

FEBRUARY Birthstone

Amethyst - the stone for

Calming | Creativity | Immunity

Amethyst’s deep purple and cloudy white coloring makes it an extremely calming gemstone. Known for soothing anxiety, it helps remove the stress of fearing the unknown. An additional benefit of amethyst is that it increases a person’s intuition and opens more pathways to creativity. It’s the birthstone for the month of February, but anyone who feels drawn to this lavender-hued stone can reap its soothing benefits. It scores a 7 on the Mohs hardness scale, which is a great hardness for jewelry. We love adding little pops of purple in our jewelry with amethyst because it perfectly complements other gemstones, or creates an eye catching piece on its own.
Natural tranquilizer:
Amethyst relieves an individual from stress and strain, soothes irritability,
balances mood swings, dispels anger, rage, fear and anxiety.

AMETRINE
When an iron atom replaces an already existing silicon atom, this half purple, half yellow variety of quartz is created. This is a rare geological occurrence, making Ametrine a
desirable gem by collectors.

METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Ametrine has the combined healing effects of Amethyst, the stone of spirituality and
wisdom, and Citrine, the stone of success. Therefore, Ametrine is one of the best stones
for finding fulfillment and a deeper understanding of our career path.

The major mines of Amethyst are from Brazil as geodes within volcanic rocks, Uruguay,
South Korea, Russia, United States, and South India.

From Chi's Bench ...  Repurposed Delights

Let me help you tell your stories!
I delight in giving new life to tired jewelry with my "re-purposed" designs.

Creating new expressions from family legacy pieces are so heart-warming
when I can be part of their journey ...

An engagement ring, family ring or necklaces - they all combine wonderful memories, bringing happiness to both me and everyone involved!
Patricia's Amethyst Ring Jacket

Patricia loves her amethyst and citrine ring given to her by her Aunt. Only problem was that the ring was top heavy, spinning continuously and make it uncomfortable to wear. We solved the problem by adding a new gold jacket. Now her ring is stable and centered !!
Diandra's Family Legacy Ring

Designed from a group of stones and rings collected from her Grandma, Mom and even Dad, Diandra's new amethyst and diamond ring will provide her with a lasting family legacy!
