Projects Completed in 2023

City of Greeley

WTRF Nitrification Phase II

Biological nutrient removal (BNR) may be a mouthful, but it's how we remove excess nitrogen and phosphorus from our wastewater – before it's discharged into our rivers. The City of Greeley recently completed its $35.5 million Nitrification Phase II project in October 2023.

Converting the City's WTRF treatment process to BNR was a four-year feat for the project team. Upgrades included improvements to aeration basins, RAS pumping, yard piping, construction of selector basins, a new aeration basin, and electrical building, along with site and process improvements. The City of Greeley, Garney Construction, Carollo Engineers, and Ditesco worked side by side to complete the project on time and on budget for the community.

Larimer County | Acute Care Facility

Our firm intentionally pursues projects that will have a lasting impact on our community. The Acute Care facility on the Larimer County Behavioral Health Services at LongviewTM Campus will provide care to individuals throughout the County – over 360,000 people. This 60,000 SF building has been four years in the making and opened to the public in December 2023. Ditesco operated as the Owner's Representative during the design and construction of the facility and partnered with the Architect, Page Southerland; Contractor, Haselden Construction; and Larimer County to bring this facility to fruition.

City of Loveland | Pulse

Connecting the City of Loveland with a high-speed broadband network that is locally owned and operated has been a rewarding experience for our firm.

After four years, Pulse completed its capital construction in November 2023. At nearly a $110 million investment, Pulse is the largest capital project in the city's history.

Pulse 2019 groundbreaking.

What makes Pulse especially meaningful for Ditesco is the fact that it was the first broadband initiative our firm had the pleasure of managing. Pulse catapulted Ditesco into the broadband space. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to partner with the City of Loveland, Colorado Boring, and Ontrac, Inc. to deliver a project to the community that has been nationally and locally recognized for excellence.

And it gets better – with the capital construction complete, the project team is leveraging regional partnerships to connect homes and businesses across Larimer County with high-speed broadband.

Respite Care 41st Annual Ball

We traded in our safety vests for cocktail attire at Respite Care's 41st Annual Holiday Ball in November. After dining in style, we participated in the live auction, and even hit the dance floor!

This event raised over $646,000 for Respite Care, a non-profit that provides short-term, quality care for children with developmental disabilities and respite for their families in Northern Colorado.

Favorite thing about working at Ditesco:

Getting the opportunity to see projects from the owner’s perspective rather than that of the contractor.

Fun Fact:

I enjoy ice fishing, and I have attended a 2-day tournament at Lake John with the same group of friends almost every year, since 2016.
