Happy New Year, Dobson Ranch!
This article originally appeared in the December issue of the Ranchers' RoundUp! We wanted to share this information again just in case you missed it, plus it includes a few updates!
In addition to celebrating the 50th Anniversary, 2023 was a year of unexpected discovery, challenges, and transition that allowed us to reorganize and restructure to strengthen trust and effectively build community as we move robustly into 2024. Only we're not done yet and have much work to do!
We sincerely appreciate and thank you for the accolades and expressed gratitude for our work! As we fiscally reposition the community for continued success, please remember that some staffing and service levels, due to staffing and budget cutbacks, will take longer to rebuild than others. We will continue to strive to address all issues in a timely fashion. Please know that your patience is greatly appreciated.
Please see the 2024 Summary Budget posted on the website under the Members tab. As we continue to improve our community, we will do so with fiscal discipline and responsibility toward building a solid future - together. We worked diligently this past year to eradicate budget deficiencies and will continue to spend responsibly in 2024. Additional information will be posted to the website as we progress, so check back frequently!
We are excited to announce that one of our long-term homeowners, Chad Turner, will join us next week as the new Communications Administrator. With his years of expertise, we aim to maintain and improve upon the high level of transparency you are accustomed to through the Executive Directors Weekly Email Blast, frequent website updates, and the newly revised and streamlined Ranchers' RoundUp online edition. For accurate information, please look to these communication platforms as the only reliable and consistent source of information about Dobson Ranch. To register for these critical communications, visit the website and click Sign Up for the Weekly Eblast under the Communications tab. I am pleased to share that we have added over 1000 new subscribers to our online communications platform this year!!
We plan to focus on and prioritize several outstanding operational, reserve, and maintenance items throughout 2024. These items include but are not limited to, the new website, Ranchers' RoundUp online edition, 2024 Reserve Study, La Casita rental program, recreational classes, satellite bathroom, tree mapping, court lighting, fiber installation at the rec centers, Los Altos Ramada, Saratoga Rec Center, boat docks, and pathway lights.
The Annual Meeting of the Members is Tuesday, April 9, 2024, and the Board of Directors is currently accepting Candidate Applications for volunteer homeowners to serve on the Board. The deadline to apply is February 10, 2024. You can easily find the two-page application with instructions on the website under the Members tab.
In addition, please take some time to check out the website community Calendar under the Activities tab. All Board, Committee, and Club meetings and events are posted for the entire year! You can also Make an Assessment Payment by clicking on the tab in the upper right corner of the home page!
