HAPPY NEW YEAR Dear Friends, It is with gratitude and a humble heart that we celebrate this New Year. I am so grateful to all of you who fostered and/or adopted a pet while working at home during the pandemic. What a wonderful way to pay it forward and save the life of a homeless animal! I hope you will continue to visit your local shelters and visit our website for rescue groups that we support. Sadly, the new year does not erase the suffering of homeless and abused animals that still wait to be saved. They don’t understand COVID-19 or the losses that we, as a community have endured. They continue to feel the chilling cold, the hunger and the pain that abuse and neglect brings. The need for rescue is greater than ever and disappointing those animals who wait for help is not an option. Together, we will find a way to save as many animals as possible. They are counting on us and we cannot let them down. Thank you for believing in the Pet Peeves mission during these difficult economic times. This year, whatever you can give is especially appreciated. Together, let’s look towards a bright new year filled with more joy, good health, and the support needed to end homelessness and abuse for all living creatures.   My warmest wishes, to you and your family, for a peaceful and healthy new year. Helping Animals in Your Community

Got Blankets? Towels? Pet Food? Gently used dog beds or cat trees? Call your local shelter and ask if they can accept these donations. Working from home and need to take a lunch hour? Ask your local shelter if they have a dog that needs walking or a cage that needs cleaning. Most food banks also take pet food donations. Simply advise the food pantry that your donation includes pet food and/or supplies. If you see something say something! Winter is coming and pets are lost, abandoned and often left outside in yards without shelter or food. You can make an anonymous report to the police and save a life.
