White Fund Enlightenment Series

NECC Lawrence campus hosted a presentation called “Unpacking Imposter Syndrome,” led by Yvonne Castañeda, the Director of Community-Based Initiatives at the Boston College School of Social Work and a Massachusetts-licensed mental health clinician.

In this interactive presentation, students gained valuable insights into the impact of cultural norms on self-confidence, identity formation, and authenticity, and they learned how to work through imposter syndrome as they navigate higher education and their own professional development. Many of these students were participants in the Lawrence High School Pathways program, with which LP collaborates.

This presentation was coordinated by our former Staff Associate, Giselle Peguero, who is now the Associate Director of the Lawrence Campus & Community Relations at Northern Essex Community College, and she invited the team to the presentation.
