Join the Texas Girls Collaborative Project for the Texas Women & Girls in STEM Summit designed to share effective practices, connect organizations and individuals, and showcase outstanding efforts to increase the number of girls in STEM and support the retention of women in STEM careers. 


Call for Breakout Session Presenters: We are seeking interactive workshops, presentations, lightning talks, and panel discussions with topics related to advancing gender equity in STEM, such as male advocacy/allies, general inclusion and diversity, volunteering and mentoring, pre-K / elementary school engagement, middle school engagement, high school engagement,  college engagement, workforce engagement / corporate women in STEM/tech affinity groups.


Virtual Breakout Sessions to be hosted within Zoom Breakout Rooms.

TxGCP annually awards the Stand Up for STEM Awards to recognize and elevate the work of incredible mentors, companies and organizations within Texas. Awardees and nominees are recognized during the TxGCP Texas Women and Girls in STEM Summit.

  • Stand Up for STEM Mentor Award for a STEM Professional engaged in mentoring women and/or girls in STEM
  • Stand Up for STEM Educator Award for a STEM Educator engaged in mentoring women and/or girls in STEM
  • Stand Up for STEM High School Award for a STEM High School Student engaged in inspiring and mentoring girls in STEM
  • Stand Up for STEM Collegiate Organization Award for a STEM College Student Group/Organization engaged in mentoring women and/or girls in STEM
  • Stand Up for STEM Educational Organization Award for an Educational Organization or Program engaged in mentoring women and/or girls in STEM
  • Stand Up for STEM Corporate Award for a Company engaged in mentoring women and/or girls in STEM

Science Near Me Featured Opportunity: Public Star Party at Ink's Lake State Park hosted by Austin Astronomy Society. The public is invited to observe the sky in our telescopes. We’ll show such objects as Saturn, Venus, galaxies, nebulae, star clusters, and more. Festivities will take place near the dump station across the street from Inks Lake’s Central Park just southwest of the park store.
