Cambodian Community Dream Organization, Inc.
May 2019 Dream Journal
Mothers are our first teachers. They teach us how to walk, talk and how to find our way in the world. They teach us how to love.

In our Cambodian Community, we have 11 mothers who have taken on the role of preschool teachers and we have been training them in preschool education basics.
To celebrate Mother’s day, consider sponsoring a mother & preschool in the name or memory of your mom.

If you take on the sponsorship of the preschool you have the naming rights!

Our new preschools are improving early childhood education and ensuring that no child is left behind. The little munchkins are primed and eager to learn. Education is the key to improved income and healthy living.

It costs $2000 to sponsor a preschool by providing uniforms, toys, school supplies, snacks and teacher training and stipend for the teacher.

That is a mere $100 per child per year. You can donate any amount in honor of your own mother.
A special thanks to The Deegan Family from Australia have donated $2,000 for a preschool in Angkor Thom .

New Classroom Speakers
Our new English teacher trainees in 19 government schools have received portable speakers so students can hear the correct English pronunciation and singalong with songs.
It is a perfect & fun way to instill fun & confidence in the classroom.

Environment Cleanliness
Our new intern Hannah has been making great strides in engaging the school children in environmental education . She has been conducting lessons, followed up with school grounds cleaning. Thursday is cleanup day.

A big THANK YOU AGAIN to our longtime supporters, Beth & Kevin Hoffman  from Boston , who have generously donated another $1,000 this month. Thank you for always supporting CCDO.
