Mother's Day is a celebration honoring the mother of the family or individual, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on different days in many parts of the world, most commonly in March or May. It complements similar celebrations honoring family members, such as Father's Day, Siblings Day, and Grandparents' Day. The modern holiday of Mother's Day was first celebrated in 1907. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL!

We had a beautiful and inspiring Yom HaShoah Holocaust Remembrance program last Sunday at the Delray Heritage location. We would like to thank Ruby and Chana Rose Sosnowicz for their amazing Holocaust Survivor Band music and Cantor Carol Garrett for her meaningful words and music. We had several Holocaust survivors and daughters and granddaughters of survivors, who each shared personal memories and hope for the future. Thank you to all who participated, attended and made this a very special time.

This film and discussion program tells the extraordinary unsung story of how the Jewish resistance in Algeria, led by José Aboulker, ushered in the Allied capture of North Africa in November of 1942. This was the first major Allied victory of World War II (codename: “Operation Torch”) — an event that changed the course of the war and saved the Jews of North Africa from potential deportation. The film Shadows of Freedom tells the dramatic true story.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office in partnership with All Points Mobile Shredding will be hosting a FREE document shredding event. This event is open to the public for shredding a maximum of FOUR office storage boxes (size of 15" x 12" x 10") of personal documents. Combat Identity Theft and protect your personal information through shredding.
Please remove all papers from any ringed binders. Staples and paper clips do NOT need to be removed.

Tai chi is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for self-defense and health. Known for its slow, intentional movements, tai chi has practitioners worldwide and is particularly popular as a form of gentle exercise and moving meditation, with benefits to mental and physical health. These weekly classes are taught by Eric and provide an hour of stress-free time and well-being. Tai chi can help to improve balance. All men and women are welcome to any class or to continue on a weekly basis.

To those on our Healing List and those that are not, but should be, we send out our thoughts and wishes for you to be stronger, to heal, to recover, and to attain a full recovery to good health, a Refuah Shlema, renewal of the body, renewal of the spirit! Hoping that you will be returned to good health soon!
