"Empty your mind of all thoughts.

Let your heart be at peace.

Watch the turmoil of beings,

But contemplate their return.

Each separate being in the universe

Returns to the common source.

Returning to the source is serenity."

Lao Tau from the Tao te Ching aphorism 16 translated by Stephen Mitchell from Genius.com

"You alone are enough. You have nothing to prove to anybody."

Dear Students and Friends!

Happy Labor Day! I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the holiday weekend.

Any moment can be a good moment to step aside of ourselves, reflect on our progress toward who we wish to be and recommit to the path with renewed vitality.

As we transition from the vibrant energy of summer to the reflective beauty of fall, I wanted to reach out with a few words of inspiration.

Coming Home to Ourselves

In the words of Maya Angelou above. "You alone are enough. You have nothing to prove to anybody."

Her words and those of Lao tze can remind us of the core insights and values within the practice of yoga, self-care and holistic healing. This is especially helpful if we have fallen away from our practice, caught up in stressful times or are simply in need of re-inspiration for any reason.

Through this work, we learn to turn inward, rediscovering our inherent worth and strength. Each pose, each breath, is an opportunity to embody this truth - that we are complete and whole just as we are.

So, the road back to knowing you are enough may be as simple as taking time to return to source through this powerful work we do.

Thank You to You

As we honor Labor Day and the contributions of workers everywhere, let's also take a moment to appreciate the work we do for ourselves through our wellness practices. Your dedication to your health and inner growth is truly valuable.

Wishing you a peaceful Labor Day weekend and a fall season filled with self-discovery and healing.

I look forward to seeing you soon!

Namaste,

Alan
