Middle Tennessee Council Office and Scout Shops Holiday Hours

The Scout office will be closed December 25-26, 2023 and January 1, 2024


The Nashville and Clarksville Scout Shops will be closed from December 23 – December 26, and also closed from December 30 – January 1.

 

The Scout Shops WILL be open December 27 – 29 from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. The Clarksville Scout Shop will be open December 27 and December 29 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

 

Also, the Nashville and Clarksville Scout Shops will be conducting end-of-year inventory January 2 – 4, but we WILL be open should you need to come in for items! We will not be issuing a printed receipt since our system will be down during this time, but you will be able to purchase items… If you have any questions, please feel free to contact each shop for more information or assistance.

MIDDLE TENNESSEE COUNCIL WINTER TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

Tennessee Tech Merit Badge University

Saturday, January 27, 2024

25+/- merit badges will again be offered to Scouts 8th grade and above. (Age requirement is set by TTU)

Cost will be @ $30 a Scout and $20 per Scouter – will include a hot lunch and a souvenir patch. Each merit badge has a size limit, so register early for best selection. Final sign up will be on Wednesday, Jan. 17.


Registration is done by a Troop, rather than an individual. Troops must also register at least one adult who will remain at the Merit Badge University the entire day. 

An adult program will be provided, including some Scouting topics and other activities to enhance your troop.

Target and Range Sport

The Purpose of BSA Target and Range sports is to introduce youth to shooting. College of Commissioner Science

Commissioner Service in the Middle Tennessee Council strives to help each unit be the best it can be. Our commissioners deserve the very best tools to help them succeed in the ever-changing world of Scouting. The College of Commissioner Science takes all commissioners beyond the basic training, further developing critical leadership, coaching, and communication skills. This year, the College of Commissioner Science will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN.

Wilderness First Aid Training

Latimer Reservation is proud to offer Scouts (age 14) and adults the opportunity to complete the Wilderness First Aid Training. This training is required of each unit participating in any of the BSA national high adventure programs. WFA will be offered at Latimer Reservation on Saturday, March 9, 2024. A CPR skills check will be conducted on Friday, March 8, 2024, for those who need it. The skills checks will be conducted by certified instructors, Janet Forde, Bob Forde, and Katie Sherrouse.
