Greetings!

Oh, my! Christmas is just over a week away!  Where does time go?  Even though we're busier than normal I hope we all find time to be creative in some little way.  Maybe it's as simple as decorating Christmas cookies!  Mmmm, I'll be right over!

Merry Christmas!

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for following me this year.  I appreciate your support so much!
We're still a little company going through some changes and are open to your ideas and suggestions. I hope we can enjoy a 2012 full of creativity together...

  • Share your Quietfire artwork with us on Facebook! You can add a link to your blog right on our Page! You can even do that with your weekly challenge.
  • Join in the Created byhand Challenge.  We need more artists to play!  Every week Robyn and Yogi and Monica outdo themselves!  Send them a little love by playing in the sandbox with them!  Bring your art supplies.
  • Let us know if you're published in a print publication and Quietfire is credited! It will earn you free rubber!
  • Let us know if you have a quote you'd like to see in rubber.  (Ahem, but be patient!)
  • Let us know if you have time to help out.  Got web skills and software? or know how to create an app? (I'd love to have an app where you type in the sentiment you need and a list of Quietfire possibilities comes up!  Wouldn't that be so cool?) The down side?  Payment in rubber stamps, so you have to love Quietfire rubber.... vbg!

I wish you a safe and happy holiday season, no matter what you celebrate, with the people you care about most - even if it's a phone call (or Skype!!).

Embellie Gellie

I have been looking for this product for years! Ever since Candy in Port Alberni showed it to me I have been on the lookout.  It was Judi Kauffman who alerted me to it's source.  Thanks Judi!

Embellie Gellie is a quick pick-up tool for placing small embellishments.

In truth, the first thing I tested it on was cat hair stuck in my keyboard and a little stray chunk of muffin.....  It worked perfectly!  It's like having a third hand with tiny fingers.  I know this is going to be great for picking up those little Spellbinders diecut bits!!!

The best thing to do in order to familiarize yourself with Embellie Gellie is to watch their video.  I'm liking the look of their glue, too!  You don't need to watch the whole thing to get the idea.  I love this stuff!  You can purchase it in a variety of categories on my site and here is one of them!

More Christmas questions:
Okay, fess up.
  • Do you quickly tire of holiday preparations?
  • Do you embrace it with all your heart?
  • When do you start decorating? (I'm sure my friend Susan starts right after Halloween!)
  • When do the decorations come down?
  • Is it all a big effort?
  • Is it all a big effort until you start writing in Christmas cards and remember all the wonderful people who have touched your life?

Write, draw and/or paint about it!

If you have a journal prompt you'd like to share, email it to me!
Thanks very much for reading!
Happy creating!
Sincerely,

Suzanne Cannon
