For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6 King James Version

Greetings!

LaFerney Commercial Roofing wishes you a very Merry Christmas! At the end of the year, roofing needs may be the furthest thing from your mind, or they may be a high priority. Waiting until Spring to replace a roof may cause more damage to your building. LaFerney Commercial Roofing has solutions which do not require waiting for a "thaw".

Winter Roof Installation

A leaking roof is an inconvenience at any time, but in the winter, the problem feels more cumbersome. Often building owners feel "stuck" until the temperatures rise. However, this is no longer the case.

LaFerney Commercial Roofing can install a single-ply membrane roof safely, with minimal disruption, any time of the year. Our winter installations are just a little cooler. Single-ply membrane systems attach directly to the roofing deck, eliminating the need for weather sensitive adhesives. This assures a quality installation in any season.

Single-ply systems can often be installed on top of existing roofs, eliminating the need for a tear-off, the resulting mess, and exposure of the building to the elements. Installation is quiet and safe, without loud machinery, hazardous materials, or noxious odors.

Keep in mind single-ply roofing systems are not created equal; they are entirely different systems. It is important that the right system is selected based on the type of structure, facility needs, and the existing conditions. LaFerney Commercial Roofing offers systems which meet or exceed all major fire and wind code requirements throughout the country. One system is particularly resistant to fire, wind, chemicals, and grease and accommodates a wide variance of temperature extremes with ease. Factory welded seams along with custom prefabricated stacks and curb flashings eliminate most roof-top labor from the critical transition and penetration areas of the roof. Our professional staff can review your roof to help reach a pro-active solution.

A roofing system is a long-term investment for your property. LaFerney Commercial Roofing offers systems with excellent warranties. A comprehensive 15-year No Dollar Limit warranty which is transferable, has no exclusions for ponding water, and provides coverage against consequential damages come standard with some single-ply roofing systems. One of our sales consultants will evaluate your roof and make a recommendation based on your facility and warranty needs at no cost to you.

LaFerney Commercial Roofing offers high quality roofing systems, designed to cover your existing system. We offer systems unaffected by ponding water with no daytime temperature requirement for installation.  Our "nearly invisible" installation allows for business as usual in most cases. Call (800) 633-3119 for a free professional evaluation to find the best solution for your building. Don't wait until the spring rush to plan your roofing project. The leak stops here.

Ponding Water - The Grinch that voided your warranty.

Water remaining on your roof for more than 48 hours after a rain ends is ponding water by definition of the National Roofing Contractors Association.  This remaining water is one of the most damaging things effecting the life cycle of a flat roof.  Even when code requirements are met, some slope is lost due to components suspended from the roofing joints and roof top equipment such as HVAC units.

Ponding water can deteriorate the roofing surface. In some instances, organic matter thrives in the ponding water using the roofing adhesive as a food source (see photo).

The existence of ponding water will void warranties from most roofing material manufacturers. LaFerney Commercial Roofing offers single-ply membrane roofing systems with 15 and 20 year No Dollar Limit warranties unaffected by ponding water.  Other options are available when dealing with ponding water issues. The Nation's Christmas Tree (General Grant Tree)

In 1926 President Coolidge proclaimed a tree located in California's King's Canyon National Park to be the "Nation's Christmas Tree". This tree, a giant sequoia discovered in 1867, was named "the General Grant Tree". The tree, estimated to be 1,650 years old,  is now nearly 270 feet high.  On March 29, 1956 President Eisenhower declared this tree a living memorial to those who gave their lives serving the United States. This is the only living memorial in existence. Each year, a wreath to honor fallen war heroes is laid at the nearly 40 foot base of this tree.
Merry Christmas!
