Our recent documentary release is this year's headline.  Florys Flame is about legendary 90-year old Sephardic musician Flory Jagoda. The documentary weaves Flory's life story with a concert in which she was featured at the Library of Congress in September 2013, where she performed with 25 of her students, apprentices, and family members. Flory's music is rooted in pre-Inquisition Spain, as later influenced by the Turkish, Bosnian, and Croatian cultures through which Flory's Sephardic family moved and which, together with the global Jewish and Spanish cultures, continue to celebrate her music today. JEMGLO has submitted to and is waiting to hear from many global film festivals, but through word of mouth and the outreach of JEMGLO's producer's rep The Brakefield Company, we are receiving many requests from festivals and community groups worldwide, and the feedback has been overwhelming! Just two days ago the film screened at the Jerusalem Film Festival, and according to an audience member who reached out to us, it was "SO well received."

Please contact us if you are part of a group that might be interested in screening Florys Flame. And please consider making a donation to JEMGLO to enable us to continue the huge amount of work involved in this post-post-production stage as we market the film to ensure it is emblazoned on viewers' radar. Our goal is for the doc to be screened in numerous markets, spreading Flory's moving story of love, trust, hope, and optimism even in the midst of difficult times.

In the coming couple of months, keep an eye out for JEMGLO's release of  Yellow Stars of Tolerance, which utilizes an act of hatred committed during World War II in Normandy, France to emphasize the importance of tolerance. And we will continue to address topics featured in prior JEMGLO films as we move forward on new documentary and multimedia subjects currently under development. JEMGLO is grateful for the past support of our friends. We hope you will be inspired to continue helping us to create programs that educate about important topics and compel constructive action.
