Pentecost Sunday
Greetings!

This week was a very memorable week for me on so many levels. On Wednesday, I celebrated the 20th anniversary of my ministerial priesthood and it was a wonderful day of celebration. I started with a very emotional Mass at 8:30 am with the staff in attendance along with my brother Paul and his family. Gosh, it was nice to have people in the pews if only 10 people.

Happy Feast Day, Holy Spirit Parish!

We are celebrating the great Solemnity of Pentecost on May 31st. Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI said, if, in a certain sense, all the liturgical solemnities of the Church are important, Pentecost is uniquely so. This is because, having reached the 50th day, it marks the fulfillment of the event of the Passover, death and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus through the gift of the Spirit of the Risen One. Our final Edge night of the year was last Wednesday. We had a great year amidst the unforeseen changes but it was a joy ministering to these youth.

Despite the Covid-19 Shelter in Place order the call to serve the needy remains, possibly now more than ever as together we people of God chart these untested waters. We are connected to all people from every walk of life as together we pray for an end to the coronavirus. 

Recently a number of parishioners have been inquiring as to how they might reach out to our sisters and brothers living in the margins. Presently there are several local service providers, not affiliated with Holy Spirit Parish Social Ministries in need of immediate help. Read more...
SACRAMENTS OF BAPTISM AND MARRIAGE
Sacraments of Baptism and Matrimony updates:  
  
(05.10.2020) As of the present, while shelter-in-place still being upheld, the Rites of the Sacrament of Baptism and Matrimony are postponed until further notice.
