Unison Prayer

Loving and sustaining God, You call us to obedience, to follow you in all things, to give up the things we cling to, and to give ourselves wholly to your purposes. Give us courage to faithfully follow your leading, even when we cannot see the outcome. Help us to trust you in all things, to let go of anything that would stand in the way of wholehearted obedience to you. In your holy name we pray, Amen.

Call to Worship

L: Come to God who gathers us in.

P: We come to God who nurtures us like a father.

L: Come to God whose arms are open and waiting.

P: We come to God who welcomes and forgives us.

L: Come to God who journeys with us.

P: We come to God who sees us as we really are and loves us anyway.

All: Come, let us praise our loving nurturing God!

It's finally here!

The annual Grace UMC Rummage Sale will take place next week.

This year our sale begins on

Wednesday from 3-6pm

Thursday 830-5pm

Friday 830-3pm

Thank you to the many volunteers for helping with this event, those that brought in items to sell, and to our shoppers!

Set-up will begin in a big way starting on the 16th. Please allow for some extra grace in the space as these efforts get underway!

Mission Giving for June

Our gifts this month will be sent to support the "Freedom Ranch"

The Freedom Ranch in Brainerd, Minnesota is a project by the Rising Hope Foundation.

It’s a safe home built to provide long-term care and recovery for young girls, aged 12 to 17, who have been rescued from human trafficking. The Freedom Ranch is equipped to house eight girls. In addition to therapy and a safe space, the girls will receive life skills training to prepare them for confident independent living.

Please note on your check or offering if you are making a gift for this mission.

If you have questions around the decisions that were voted on at the General Conference in April, please reach out to Pastor Jen. She will set aside time to meet with you one on one and address your questions and concerns. There will be no changes made at Grace UMC related to the Book of Discipline edits.

Wednesday June 19, Thursday, June 20, and Friday, June 21, 2024

Proceeds from the Bake Sale will go to local and worldwide missions. 25% of the sales will go to Grace Church. UWF welcomes all donations of baked goods to be sold.

Baked items may be brought to the church kitchen beginning Wednesday, June 19th at 10:00 a.m. and throughout Thursday and Friday of that week.

Pies, cookies and bars are favorites. A good size for cookies is 2½ inches in diameter and bars cut approximately 1½ inch square. Put 6 cookies, bars, brownies or fudge on a paper or plastic plate and seal in a zip-lock bag or clear plastic bag with a twist tie. If you prefer, bring cookies bars and brownies in and we will cut and bag them.

Pies that require refrigeration are welcome and will be handled appropriately. We will price your items.

We hope that you will bring several items for the sale. This is a bake for mission opportunity for all cooks: men, women and youth. We really appreciate whatever you are able to do. If you would like to support this annual event, but do not want to bake, your donation is always

Bobbi Quass and Shawna Knutson, Bake Sale Coordinators

The church office is open Monday through Thursday, 9am until noon. Ring the doorbell and we will come to open the south door!

If you have something that should be added to this newsletter from your group or mission, please speak with Pastor Jen or email the details to her at jenmatt20@gmail.com. The E-Grace is generally completed by noon on Thursdays, so articles need to be received by Thursday 10am at the very latest.

If you wish to connect with me directly and it is not an emergency, please know that I will respond as needed during pretty regular office hours. I am generally in the church on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from at least 10-1, call the office to be sure, as my weeks may vary. I check my emails frequently throughout the day, and this is the best way to contact me. Friday is my day off as needs allow.
