HAPPY EARTH DAY

On Earth Day, and every day, we celebrate and advocate for our planet. If you are looking for ways to live more sustainably, here are some options here at the library and in our community:

  1. Visit our Seed Library to pick out free seeds to plant in your yard. RCPL Bees love pollinator friendly blooms!
  2. Sign up to bring a broken item to our May 22 Fixit Clinic. Learn skills to prolong the life of your belongings and reduce waste
  3. Check out an Energy and Water Saving Toolkit
  4. Teach kids how they can invest in our planet by reading books from our Earth Day reading list
  5. Visit the Redwood City Kiwanis Farmers Market on Saturday mornings (and find the library booth there!). The farmer's market provides a great opportunity to support local farmers and artisans.
  6. Be heard and get involved in your city's work to address climate change! Join Sustainable San Mateo County for the online event Youth for Climate Policy on April 30 from 5-6 PM

REDWOOD SHORES OUTREACH SESSION

Join us for a community feedback session taking place on April 25 from 6pm-7:30pm at Redwood Shores Branch Library. This session will guide the future of a playground adjacent to the Library. Following two successful community outreach opportunities earlier this year, we will share insights and gather new ideas for the play area. We'll discuss the plan, provide updates, and gather feedback. Your input will help create playground renderings. Bring questions, ideas and enthusiasm!

Can't attend? Take our survey to share your thoughts. We value your input in shaping this community space!
