Happy Cesar Chavez Day to all!
This is a day set aside in California, signed into law by Democratic Gov. Gray Davis, to reflect on the dedication and achievements of a truly great but humble man, who dedicated his life to improving the plight of those who toil in our farms and fields. Without them, California would not be the bread basket of the world through our agricultural bounty. As we celebrate the life of Cesar Chavez, let us all re-commit to helping the struggling and less fortunate through acts of generosity and community service. Together, si se puede!
