Welcome New & Returning Members

Greetings Chamber Members and Friends,

We hope you have fun plans for July 4th, including coming to the only-one-of-its-kind Placitas 4th of July Parade! We believe this is the umpteenth year for the parade, and here are the details:

Marching in the parade?

  • Line up at 9:30 a.m. @ Placitas Heights (highway 165 and Camino del Rincon Colorado).
  • Be ready to step off at 10 a.m.

Watching the parade?

  • Find a shady spot anywhere along the route (highway 165 and through the Village) and set up your chair(s), parade steps off at 10 a.m.
  • Please be respectful of people and properties adjacent to where you sit; be safe and wear sunglasses/hat/sunscreen; enjoy the fun! Stay hydrated - no water balloons, please.
  • Furry friends - please ensure your human is properly attached to your leash, and remind them to bring your water & dish

And remember there's a lot happening in Placitas during July . . . here's a sample:

  • Visit Wild Hearts Gallery for a Featured Artist exhibit by Joan Fenicle
  • Order pizza or salad from the Placitas Pizza Company
  • Go to the Placitas Seller's Market on July 13th and 27th, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.; find your next treasure. Proceeds from booth rentals go to support local non-profits.
  • Take in a great jazz concert with Canyon Blues & Jazz on July 14th - A Tribute to Ray Charles
  • Visit the Placitas Library - borrow a book, take your kids to monthly children's events, and see the monthly art exhibit

We'd like to extend a hearty Welcome to these new and renewing members since our last newsletter:

We hope you'll enjoy the long holiday weekend with friends, family, or even just by yourself. Summer's hot, so stay safe and be cool!
