We invite you to join us this Sunday for a sermon entitled "Because You Brought Us Out," based on Deuteronomy 5:12-15. This sermon will focus on the importance of learning to rest and reflect on how God has delivered us from various situations in our lives. We believe this message will inspire and encourage you on your spiritual journey. Come and be a part of this meaningful service as we worship and grow together in faith.

Weekly Prayer

Hold on to what is good

even if it is

a handful of earth.

Hold on to what you believe

even if it is

a tree which stands by itself.

Hold on to what you must do

even if it is

a long way from here.

Hold on to life even when

it is easier letting go.

Hold on to my hand even when

I have gone away from you.

Faithful Reflections

(Ms.TaishaThompson Administrator)

In the midst of our fast-paced world, it's easy to overlook the importance of rest. However, in the book of Exodus 33:14, we are reminded of God's promise to guide us and give us rest. "My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."

Just as God commands us to observe the Sabbath and find rejuvenation in Him, we too must prioritize rest in our daily lives. Matthew 11:28 reinforces this message: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

Let us remember that rest is not a sign of weakness, but a gift from God to replenish our souls and strengthen our bodies. By taking the time to rest and recharge, we allow ourselves to connect with God on a deeper level and find peace in His presence.

May we all be inspired by these scriptures to pause, breathe, and embrace the rest that God lovingly offers us.

Wishing you all a restful and blessed week ahead.

Our Community

We are excited to announce that CCOP will be participating alongside other ABCORI churches in hosting a booth at the RI Pride Fest on June 15. As part of our involvement, we have been invited to volunteer at the booth and also to prepare cookies in advance for donation. If you would like to be a part of this day of welcome, please sign up using the included link.

Let's come together to support and celebrate diversity and inclusion at RI Pride Fest!

We are thrilled to announce that on June 16, we will be hosting a dedication service for the recently restored Prayer Room, which will be dedicated in honor of Rev. Tony and Mrs. Cindy Pappas. The service will feature a sermon delivered by Rev. Tony, followed by a light luncheon to celebrate this special occasion. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Pappas' for their generosity and unwavering love for our Community Church. It is truly a blessing to gather each week and admire the beauty of the Last Supper stained glass in our newly restored Prayer Room. Join us on this joyous day as we come together to honor and appreciate the Pappas' contributions to our church community.

CCOP will be a vendor at this year's Juneteenth festival! As a vendor, we will have a booth at the festival where we can showcase our organization and engage with the community. If you are interested in participating in our booth, please email Pastor Sarah for more information. We hope to see you there!
