Greetings!

People often talk about handbuilt bicycles, but that is a loosely defined term.  Here is a video of bicycles that are truly handbuilt, in the U.S., in the Midwest, in Wisconsin.  The amount of hand work that goes into these Trek Bicycles anchors the scale for hand built.  But it also takes a huge investment in machinery to raise all that hand work to a precisely made and performing bicycle.  Here is a 3 minute video that shows you the carbon fiber cutting, layup, and molding that wouldn't see if you if you took a factory tour.

Behind the scenes

FULL MOON RIDE, Saturday, June 22, 7 & 8 PM
Full Moon
By the light of the silvery moon.  If you haven't ridden with the road lighted only by the light of a full moon you've missed a magical experience.  When you get out into the country, on the route's quiet country roads, you can turn out your headlight and ride safely.  Join this unorganized ride at at the Windsor Rd parking lot in Meadowbrook Park in Urbana.  There are now 2 departure times.

7 PM for people who want to ride earlier/with children/slower.
          8 PM for faster/longer/darker riders.
Both rides will go to the Dairy Barn in Sidney.  From there you can return to Urbana, for a ride of about 18 miles, or continue on with groups riding a variety of longer distances.  So fire up your lights and join us.
(and cappuccino is the ice cream flavor of the week)
