Bank of America Grant

Bank of America is helping address the needs of our community related to affordable housing, by directing grant funding to Habitat for Humanity of Denton County! We received a grant for $15,500 for the Habitat Village! Thank you Bank of America.

The Bank of America's grant and partnership will help allow our affiliate to begin Phase 1 of our first housing development - The Habitat Village - which will be an affordable housing development of 35 homes.

With the constantly changing economic climate, charitable grants are critical to supporting nonprofits like us.

We are raising funds to develop 8 acres of vacant land in Southeast Denton and establish a new "Habitat Village" housing development on the property. As many as 35 new affordable homes will be built alongside local families in need via this development. This project involves developing the infrastructure of this neighborhood, including the streets, sidewalks, utilities, proper drainage requirements, and everything else needed to support a neighborhood of 35 homes.

The majority of our funds are raised by local individuals and local organizations, so we are relying on YOUR continued support to carry us forward. Would you consider making a gift to the Habitat Village today?

About half of our cars are sold to licensed dealers at wholesale auctions and are reused for transportation. The other half are typically transported to auto salvage yards where all reusable car parts, batteries, tires and fluids are removed.

Vehicles that can be recycled are crushed, shredded and recycled into steel. Habitat receives funds for each donated vehicle, although a car sold at auction generally generates more revenue than one that is recycled. Every donation makes a difference and the families that partner with us are extremely grateful for your help.
