Spring has sprung!

The year has been flying by and we've been busy building! We look forward to a very active spring ahead with special events and volunteer opportunities! 

Our new Board of Trustees is now confirmed. Kate Nelson, Katie Beck, Maureen Simons and Jacque Moutier have stepped down from the board and we are so grateful for their dedicated service. We also want to welcome to the board Gerry Scharfenberger, James Wishbow and Kim Stulb.

April is Home is the Key Month
Each year through Home is the Key, we hope to create an outpouring of generosity. We hope to see the doors of opportunity open in partnership with people in search of strength, stability and self-reliance.   • Quotes for Good with State Farm® Insurance: For the month of April, in support of Home is the Key, every person who completes an auto, fire or life insurance quote, our local State Farm® agent, Greg Thomas, will make a $10 donation to Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County! Join us for our 4th annual A Taste for Homes event on May 6!
We are excited to host our annual A Taste for Homes Wine & Food Tasting Event at the Oyster Point Hotel on the Navesink River in Red Bank from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on May 6, 2019. The evening will showcase some of Monmouth County’s best restaurants, wineries, breweries, coffee baristas and dessert specialists. A silent auction and raffles will round out the night. We hope to see you there! If you cannot attend you can always bid on some of our amazing items online!

Special Event: Nancy Tuttle Showcase at the ReStore on May 11
On May 11, Down the Shore artist and painter, Nancy Tuttle, will host a showcase of her work at our ReStore in Freehold from 10 am - 5 pm. Nancy has generously donated almost 100 watercolor and acrylic paintings, most of which capture scenes from our beloved Jersey Shore. These one-of-a-kind pieces will be sold at an incredible 50% off the listing prices! All proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County.

Habitat in the News
In honor of International Women's Day, Monmouth County Freeholder, Lillian Burry, presented Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County a certificate of recognition for its annual Women Build program.

On February 28, the TJ Maxx Foundation donated $10,000 as part of their recent grand opening of a new HomeSense store in Manalapan. HomeSense specializes in delivering unique and name brand home decor at genuine value.

Volunteer Appreciation Celebration!
Volunteers are at the core of everything we do at Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County! On April 5, in honor of Volunteer Appreciation Week, more than 60 volunteers joined us for a special celebration. The Brookdale Culinary Academy donated their time and expertise to the event.
