April 2021 📰
🏬What happens to your ReStore donations?🛋
So you’ve dropped an item off at one of our ReStores or better yet, we’ve picked it up from your home, (yes we do that...for free!) Either way, you are an amazing human being 🤩 and now that you've done your part in saving the planet, we start the process of helping your donation find a new home. 🏠

Pricing🏷️
Once the items reach our ReStores, they are priced accordingly by our staff and volunteers. Items are normally sold for 30-70% of their original retail value. 😲

Ready for the Spotlight🛋
Most items are now ready to be placed on the retail floor, but some items with DIY potential first go to our ReVive Centre, where volunteers and corporate teams upcycle them. Make sure you look for these specially marked unique creations next time you’re in one of our ReStores!

Ready for Purchase💵
We’ve now come to the end of our donation journey where another amazing human being decides to purchase the item and welcome it into their home. By contributing to this life cycle, we have diverted over 5.3 million pounds of waste from landfills in the past 6 years, which is mindblowing! 🤯

2021 Federal Budget 💰
#AffordableHousing🏠
We believe that access to safe, decent and affordable housing is a basic human right that should be available to all. How does the 2021 Federal Budget score when it comes to providing affordable housing?

Modular Housing🏠
Modular housing is picking up speed. Not only is it quicker, but It’s also cost-efficient. Habitat Halton-Mississauga-Dufferin is ramping up its build processes by shifting its operations to modular construction.
