Happy Tails
HSLM receives wonderful, heartwarming updates from the individuals and families who adopt shelter pets. We love sharing these recent happy tails with you!
"Just wanted to send you a quick email to let everyone know that Cheeto and Gizmo are both doing great. It took them a couple of weeks to adjust, but now they act like they own the place.

They love chasing each other around and roughhousing, and they definitely like their naps."

"Happy Adoptaversary, Aries and Xander! It’s hard to believe a year has passed since these critters found their way into my heart!

They have brought so much love, laughter, adventure, and shenanigans into my life. They make me laugh and smile every day, and for that I am forever grateful! Thank you for the best little dogs."

Hopeful Friends
Most shelter pets are adopted within a short timeframe.
However, sometimes it takes a little longer to find the right fit. Meet two pets who are looking for their perfect match!
Kaliki
This sweet, 9-year-old gal is ready to find her purr-fect home; one where she can curl up in a cozy spot and watch the world through a window. Although Kaliki enjoys pats and snuggles, she sometimes prefers to be alone with her thoughts.

Kaliki tends to get along with dogs, but is not fond of other cats and therefore should be the only feline in the household. She would also prefer a home with children over the age of 13.
Delilah
Although her puppies have been successfully adopted, Delilah is still looking for her new family. She is very friendly and affectionate and likes to greet her favourite people with a big hug and a kiss!

As a high-energy dog, Delilah is best suited for an active and confident owner who will continue working on her obedience and leash training. A home without young children or other dogs would also be ideal for Delilah.
Stitch
This adorable little 2-year-old Guinea Pig is named Stitch. Although she can be a little bit shy when it comes to being handled, she is getting more comfortable each day. With a little love and patience, she will surely come out of her shell with you and become your new best buddy... especially if you have some fresh fruits and veggies to share with her.
