A Children-Centric Grand Birthday Celebration of Lord Murugan

Vaikasi Visakam is the day when Lord Murugan, the son of Mother Parvati and Lord Shiva was born.

Vaikasi Visakam is observed as the birthday of Lord Muruga. It falls on the full moon day in the month of vaikasi on the visakam star. The birth anniversary of Lord Muruga, who is also known as God of courage, wealth and wisdom. It is performed with a special puja to Lord Muruga.

Highlights

• Procession Starts 5:00 pm: Children will lead the procession, many boys in Murugan Costume. Girls will carry paal kudam. They will pull a specially made Lord Murugan chariot around the sanctums within the temple.

• Lord Murugan Pooja & Abhishelkam

HSCF Youth Club - Sandwich Making

Sandwich making for homeless in Orlando.

This activity takes place in the Community Hall from 10 am - 11.30 am on all second Saturdays of each month.

The Club accepts donation $100 or more for this services that feeds around 125 homeless people. Please bring check/cash/credit card payable to HSCF.

HSCF Volunteer program

New HSCF Volunteer Program called HSCF Shakti is active now.

New tiered incentive structure introduced, volunteer hours will be tracked & merchandise/gifts will be provided to volunteers upon completion of volunteer hours.

HSCF GC encourages 18 years + to please sign up using the form Volunteer Sign Up form. School going kids cannot earn gifts for volunteer hours per school board guidelines.
