EEO-1 Component 1
Reporting and Filing Deadline

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has announced its tentative schedule for the 2021 EEO-1 Component 1 data collection portal, which is set to open on April 12 with a filing deadline of May 17.

Businesses with 100 or more employees and some federal contractors with at least 50 employees meeting certain criteria must submit an annual EEO-1 form, which asks for information from the previous year about the number of employees who worked for the business, sorted by job category, race, ethnicity and gender.

Read more from the EEOC on data collection and submission.

What do you love most about HR? The world of HR and related client needs can be very diverse and complex. I love the challenge and reward of troubleshooting with each client and working to find solutions for them.

What made you choose a life in HR? If you’re in the workforce long enough, you’ll likely experience great work cultures, and not so great ones. Having a great HR team can be so impactful in creating positive, productive and safe workplace. HR Advantage does this for our clients and I love being a part of that.

A moment (client or team) that made you grateful to be an HR Advisor, Recruiter, in the HR Industry? Every time I visit with a client after we’ve begun working with them and you can tell they are so relieved and grateful to have us on board.

If you had to sum up your job in 5 words…..what would they be? Unpredictable, rewarding, versatile, challenging, FUN!

Flow Chart for Employers
OSHA 300A Postings
Feb. 1- April 30

Employers that are covered by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA's) record-keeping rule must post a summary (Form 300A) of 2021 work-related injury and illnesses in a noticeable place from Feb. 1 to April 30.

Employers who have 10-19 employees throughout the course of the year are only required to maintain and retain an internal report (OSHA 300 and 301) and not required to submit to OSHA.

If your company’s headcount for the year being reported was more than 20 then OSHA e-file is required and must be submitted by MARCH 2nd of each year.
