Why Are Employment Posters Important?


Employers are required to display labor law posters for the benefit of both employees and customers, informing them of key provisions in the law. Posters should be displayed in an area that is accessible to all employees, or made available for remote workers. 


A new year is almost here!


Your 2023 poster will include important updates such as:


  • 2023 Updated Minimum Wage 
  • Changes to State Department of Labor, Wage & Hour, Unemployment & Workers’ Compensation

Missouri Minimum Wage to 

Increase for 2023

Missouri minimum wage continues to go up .85 cents each year through 2023. The new minimum wage will go from $11.15/hr in 2022 to $12/hr in 2023. Exemption is provided to retail or service businesses with annual gross sales less than $500,000


Year End HR Checklist


Here are some helpful HR reminders for as you prepare to wrap up the end of the year:


  • Verify the current address and contact information for all employees so that W-2s are mailed to the correct location. W-2s must be postmarked by January 31, 2023 for the 2022 income year.
  • Handbook review (with relevant updates such as Medical/Recreational Marijuana, Infectious Disease and Social Media)
  • Be on the lookout for a new state and federal Form W-4, which has not yet been released.
  • Plan an HR Health Assessment of your organization to review compliance and best practices.
