The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) announced a final rule to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime regulations on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

The final rule will impact employees earning less than the new salary threshold of $844 per week or $44,057 annually (based on 26.1 pay periods) effective July 2024.

Additionally, the new salary threshold will be increased again to $1,128 per week or $58,882 annually (based on 26.1 pay periods) effective January 2025.
