Join us on Wednesday, July 31, at 12 p.m. in room 220 of the Green Library (GL) for a special book reading, complete with snacks and refreshments, hosted by the Office of Employee Assistance (OEA). The event will feature Doug Nelson, LMHC, author and former OEA clinician, who will present his book, Diminishing (Your) Worry and Stress: Authentic Stories from Real Life.

This wonderful book consists of 20 authentic stories of dealing with emotional health, mental health, and relationship issues by a counselor with more than three decades of experience. Doug will spend time sharing the story behind the writing of this book, as well as read aloud an excerpt and sign copies for sale.

This is a free event, and no purchase is required to attend!

USA Today has named our very own South Beach Wine & Food Festival® (SOBEWFF®) as one of ten best wine festivals in the country!

Originally created by professor Chip Cassidy and his students as the Florida Extravaganza at FIU's Biscayne Bay Campus in 1997, SOBEWFF® has grown from a single event to a four-day, 105+ event celebration on South Beach.

Each year, more than 1,500 FIU students help run the Festival, contributing to its success and raising over $40 million to date. These funds support new facilities and programs at FIU, as well as student scholarships.

Together, we can make SOBEWFF® number one! Be sure to vote daily until voting closes on Monday, July 22.

Help us ensure our Festival reaches the top!
