The FIU Library invites you to a new and intriguing art exhibition, "War, after the War," provided by the Albay Arts Foundation from Wednesday, January 17, to Wednesday, May 15.

"War, after the War" gathers works of art by American soldiers posted in the Philippines and the Pacific theater during World War II.

Containing 60 pieces of various media, this exhibit aims to engage the viewers at historical, artistic, and personal levels to reflect on various themes, such as how languages of war were coded in art when the depicters were not witnesses, but active-duty participants.

Be sure to examine this new exhibit located on the first and second floors of the Glenn Hubert Library, Biscayne Bay Campus!

Join the Office of Employee Assistance (OEA) on Friday, January 26, 2024, for the bimonthly Panthers Thrive Book Club Spring Reading Group.

This spring, the OEA has selected the inspirational book Think Like a Monk: Train Your Mind for Peace and Purpose by Jay Shetty.

In this empowering book, Shetty draws on his time as a monk to show us how we can clear the roadblocks to our potential and power. Combining ancient wisdom and his own rich experiences in the ashram, he reveals how to overcome negative thoughts and habits, and access the calm and purpose that lie within all of us.

Transforming abstract lessons into advice and exercises, Shetty's writings can help reduce stress and improve relationships.
