The Hyde Park School Local School Decision Making Committee (LSDMC) has an opening for one new parent representative for a two-year term starting July 2024 and ending in June 2026. The LSDMC is the primary governing body for Hyde Park School. This committee gives insight and input into important decisions that greatly impact students’ lives and shape their educational experiences. The committee is comprised of community members, parents, support staff, teachers, and administration. Parent representatives must be a parent, grandparent, or legal guardian of a student at Hyde Park School, and CPS employees may not serve as parent representatives. Candidates should be able to attend all, to the extent practicable, of the LSDMC meetings. Meetings are typically held on the third Tuesday of each month at 2:30 pm. If interested, or have additional questions, please contact LSDMC Chair Ed Paff at edpaffjr@gmail.com by May 5. We will hold the election for the position at our next PTO meeting on May 7.

Thank you to the Hyde Park Community for supporting our three 6^th grade bake sales! The bake sales were a huge success, raising well over $600. All of the money raised will go towards end-of-year activities for the 6^th grade, like our class dance and our last day field trip. We appreciate everyone's generous support! Thank you for helping us have an awesome end to our 6^th grade year!

Spirit Wear Orders are due by May 9th to be received before Summer Break! Lots of new looks and designs.
